Laundry New Uses for Old Things | Real Simple
These are some cool and creative tricks. Some I had forgot about. Good thing we can find reminders of what we can do and be creative about!

Creative storming

As you can imagine I have yet to really follow through with my goals. In between frustration and depression, I'm not sure which is worse, I am failing as a mother and I'm failing myself. Oh well. On to bigger and better right? I hope so. I did manage to get up, shower, & dress before my kids even blinked. I'm hoping that is a plus. Today it is for sure. While I'm in a happy mood and not so engrossed in my facebook games that I ignore everything around, I checked all my mail. Did some reply's and follow ups. I was reading up on facebook (I almost stumbled into the games but managed to hold out at least against all but 1 game) and I decided to look up Deb's blogspot. I haven't been on her blog for a while. I then decided to follow her on my blog. Since you have to be logged in to follow I noticed some interesting pictures on the ones I'm already following. I tagged Deb's page and starting catching up on the other pages. I had been to "The Shabby Nest" once before and decided, as the link was in the post I was reading, to follow it. Brain Storm Charge!

I now have some cool idea's. Problem is that I rarely finish anything I start. Now I am rip roaring ready to sew but the things I want to work on I don't have scrap material for. I also checked out some other blogs of craft nuts. I've decided that as soon as I get a job I'm going to be hitting the scrap bundles you can get cheap at Walmart and Joanne's. My goal is to have 4th of July decorations that I've made. So now I have to figure out what all I'm going to make so that my livingroom will be transformed for this wonderful holiday.

I have an idea for a star garland. Made from cloth and ribbon. Not sure how it will turn out but I thought it would be great to make a garland to put along my window valance to cover up the hideous bar. I'm not allowed to make holes in the walls to put curtain rods up and the bar is where the blinds are attached. So, I was thinking of taking some cardstock printing some 3" stars on it, cut them out, glue to 4th of Julyish material and cut the material wider then the star and make them shag edged. Not sure how to do the shag edge but I will find out. I will find some ribbon that I can glue the stars to and maybe get some leaf garland from the dollar store to wrap it around and then use some large paper clips to hook the garland to the bar.

Another idea I had is to take the family tradition T-shirst my family gets every year and use them for material on some of my projects. I was thinking of making my shirts into T-shirt bags where you sew the bottom closed, remove the sleeves and add a drawstring. I'd use them to carry our extra accessory items to picnic's or game equipment or maybe even do a little extra work to it to make a purse out of it. Then maybe use the kid's shirts to make throw pillow's or a wreath out of. Just a few thoughts.

Now if I can follow through on this I will have 2 months to get at least 1 of these things figure out. But on this excited note I have to bump a bucket of water over my head, calm down and go work on my coupon book. Not as exciting but I do have a few idea's of what to do for my binder. Nothing fancy but its gotta work and be serviceable.

Goals, Yes I said the taboo word of my world!

I am now going to attempt to accept that I asked for the problems I have with my neighbors. I pretty much begged and pleaded for my downstairs apart. It had less steps to deal with in the snow (granted no railing but 5 steps instead of 15), my kids playing wouldn't drive the downstairs neighbors crazy, my bedroom wouldn't have nasty 70's poop green carpet, no floor board mounted radiator for heating, no black brown molding everywhere you look, no kitchen tiles peeling, & my utilities would be cheaper as it's a half basement apartment.

BUT: I am so tired of hearing the upstairs neighbor's 16 year old daughter (who may or may not be married) have sex at all random hours of the day and night. I don't know how her mother deals with it but I can't even think about that being my daughter. She won't be married at 16 let alone have her boyfriend live with me. In between their living room TV/stereo and the teen's bedroom stereo constantly thumping I have a constant headache. I like extremely few rap songs and to be able to hear the lyric's and tell you who is playing is pretty sad. They have no respect for the rules we sign in our lease. Such as no pets. I don't hear their dog but it still poops on the lawn and I refuse to let my kids play on the lawn because of all the dog poop. They've lied to the landlord many times about not having a dog. They are not allowed to smoke on the property. They smoke on their doorstep and now my doorstep, kids bikes, & flowers are all covered in ash. Plus everytime they light up I smell it inside my apartment. There are cigarette butts everywhere from their stairs along the sidewalk to the end of the building where I park. I can hear everytime they move in their apartment plus I can hear someone snoring! How the hell do you hear your neighbors snoring? Out of the 3 tenents in that very apartment I'd have to say these is the worse ones! Each set seems too be getting worse and worse.

I feel it is time to move but with no job it's not going to happen anytime soon. In the meantime, I am going to set myself some goals to work out my frustrations. Yes I said goals. Not a bright thing for me to do but I have to work on something or go crazy!

#1:  JOB: Not that it needs to be a goal but it's the most important step for me to accomplish all I need to accomplish and to help get me up out of this apartment. Preferably full time work but I will take seasonal, part-time, swings, or graveyards if needs be. I'll have to work it into daytime hours so that I can utilize daycare. My kids miss going. I'm not fond of daycare but until they are in school all day, it's second best and convenient when you have a job. Plus who knows how long "Daddy Dearest" will be around so babysit.
Step 1: Jobs.Utah.Gov electronic job board. Online classifieds. Newspapers
Step 2: Follow instructions for applying
Step 3: Follow up call for interview regardless of if they call or not
Step 4: LOOK EVERYDAY NO MATTER HOW DEPRESSING & FRUSTRATING IT IS
*The furthest I'm willing to drive is 30 minutes 1 way. If I work an 8 hour job with a 1 hour lunch that's 9 hours. Plus if it's rush hour it can add anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour on top of the drive time. Daycare is open for 11 1/2 hours. Let's not forget the damn snow either!

#2: Health: Although it will be easier to be healthy then get a job it still needs to be done. I've already started with making sure my kids have veggies with lunch. Dinner is up and down and I've quit buying munchies. Since "Daddy Dearest" crash landed on my couch, we are eating ton's more then normal and we've gotten lazy and cheap with the food.
Step 1: Refuse to buy munchies.
Step 2: Only buy off Grocery List
Step 3: Use Coupons & Sales only
Step 4: Veggies with Lunch & Dinner
Step 5: Utilize Wii Fit Plus
Step 6: Outside at least 1 hour weather permitting. Don't want to get sick!
     Step7: Eat Breakfast everyday
Step 8: Drink LOTS of water

#3: Savings: Need to build up a nest egg of sorts. I'm not the greatings at not going overboard but I'm frustrated that the ends of my savings has run dry. I knew it was going to yet here I am. Not a lot I can do now that it's done. Maybe I shouldn't have spent my tax money the way I did but I don't regret it. Well, not all of it. I just can't keep putting everything we need/want off. Now if I could get enough together to move into a house then I could be ok. My fear is moving and then not being able to keep up with the bills and such. Right now I have no gas bill. It's just utilities but then when you think about it I'm probably paying just as much as I would if I had gas. I like not having one more place to have to pay.

Spelling out the steps will help! I promise! Now to just remember to check on it once in a while! Ultimately my goal is to move into a house, have some savings built up, be healthy and have a job so I'm not going crazy at home. Job is the most important because I really feel like I'm losing it being at home all the time. Now that it's warming up I'm hoping that I can breath a little more because we won't be so couped up inside from trying to stay warm and conserve fuel & maintenance on my car. We can walk to the parks and enjoy some fresh air. My lawn isn't appropriate for outside enjoyment as other tenants have animals. Off to do some more cleaning!

World's oldest man dies in Montana at 114 - US news - Life - msnbc.com

I sometimes wonder what life in the old days would of been like. I can't imagine living through so many life altering changes. To live through so many era's is almost crazy. Yet lives are being prolonged year by year with the new improvements of technology and science. I'd of loved to hang out and chat with this man.
World's oldest man dies in Montana at 114 - US news - Life - msnbc.com
My wonderful Aunt Jean let me scan my Great Grandma Miriam's story. It's amazing with a paragraph of her writings what you can learn about your family. I've heard many stories from many people on both sides of my family. I don't remember most of them. I confuse some of them when I do. Part of my desire to blog & journal is to share stories of my growing & learning years. Some day I may not remember my memories and then there won't be anything to tell. I love listening to peoples memories. Time is forever changing. Hell, my kids my end up driving hover crapts by the time they die and will be the old fart with the ancient car that can't leave the ground! lol Anyways. Thought I'd share this cool story!

Finally Updating!

Well, here we are months later and no postings! Sounds familiar for me. I like to start lots of stuff but almost never manage to finish what I start. Today was all in all an ok day. I babysat my friend Jessie's kids. Easy to do considering the oldest is 14 and the youngest is 8. They keep my kids so occupied that I it almost feels like I have no kids other then the noise factor but even that wasn't to bad. Of course that was all after the drama happened.

The blemish to the day was when Sami's Dad called her Aunt to find out when she was coming home as we had friends over for her to play with and you know, it's like the responsible thing to do, like we are parents here! No answer. So I text her. I usually get a response if I text but nope! No response. I called. Still no response. At this point, most PARENTS would be freaking out. I was more irritated that she'd pick this time when I want my kid home to be petty. I've taken to ignoring "Auntie Dearest" due to some unfortunate happenings that lead to me just throwing my hands in the air and turning the other cheek. In other words instead of doing something stupid like wasting my breath, for the hundredth time, or worse smacking her, I decided to limit my children's contact with her and her children to the point that 2 months will go by that they don't see each other. We live about 10 minutes away from each other. Kind of sad but in the end that's the way it is. Anyways, usually when our children stay at the other's house, they are home by the next morning. We usually don't set a time aside just know they will be home usually by 9ish. I decided if she isn't answering I'm going to get my daughter. Apparently, being a concerned parent as to how and when our child will be home is detestible.

My text reads: Are you dropping her off or are we coming to get her?

I didn't think I was being rude, apparently I was. I get half way there and she responds with: It don't matter i plan on keeping her till like 3 ish or 4 ish they are playin and we are cleaning.

Maybe it was wrong of me to assume that because all times before our kids are home the next morning that my child will be home in the morning too. Her text only asked if Sami could spend the night. They picked Sami up at 5:30ish the night before. So here I am going when the hell did I agree to the day too? I checked my text and nothing about it. I know I didn't say anything about having her home in the morning but still asking would of been nice!

I responded back with: I'm already on my way to get her. You asked if she could spend the night not day too. She has friends at our place waiting to play with her.

Her response: ok come get her than damn i just figured she could play since they dont see each other much but ok whatever she is getting ready

I got there (it's 10:45 am) and they are just start putting Sami's clothes in her backpack. Sami's hair isn't done and they forgot to put Sami's blanket in her backpack. It's obvious it was a pajama day. The only thing "Auntie" said was I didn't know I had to reserve the day. I didn't reply. All I could think is in what world do you not find out if it's ok for the child to spend the day too? Obviously hers.

I'm irritated with her blatant stupidity at this point. I have a list on hers. I know I'm not perfect but good grief. Then I find out she used me as an excuse to not be coming to the family Easter festivities that have been in the planning for about 6 weeks now and she just decided to respond with a "what is everyone doing for easter" yesterday instead of weeks earlier. I ignored the text. Hello we are poor and have to stretch the budget. Usually getting what we need when the money is available or it goes somewhere else and we don't get or do anything.

My list of indiscretions against said "Aunt":
-Walks around in her "Panties" and a T-shirt in front of my kids (Her panties are Thongs)
-Goes to the bathroom with door open
-After I tell my kids No or Stop that's not allowed--She says it's ok, it's my house, my rules, go ahead and do it.
-Telling my kids:
What Mom doesn't know won't hurt
Mom has a stick up her butt
You don't have to close the bathroom door if you don't want to
You don't have to put your shoes on to go outside, it's spring (in february/March?! Really? Cause I'm still
wearing a jacket because it's still COLD out!)
-Smokes in her car with my kids in it after being repeatedly asked to please don't smoke in the car with my kids in it.
-Borrowing my jacket without asking to go outside and smoke (or borrow my car because it's the last one in the driveway and smoking in it knowing I don't smoke or allow smoking in it. Resulting in me keeping my jacket on at all times and parking in street when available)
-Send my kid to preschool & daycare in pajama's
-Having my kids hit, bit, scratch back at her kids when her kids hit, bit, or scratch at my kids (mostly because her kid didn't get her way)
-Me being an adult telling "Auntie" what I feel and what I would like happen and being told I need to lighten up and relax because I have a stick up my ass and I'm making my kids OCD.

She is mad at me now because she works weekends and wants to take Sami only during the week and I said no. My kids are in school. Doesn't matter that it's preschool, they still need a bedtime regardless of where ever they go and it prepares them for the future. Plus then I know she won't be going to school looking like she just rolled out of bed! Another thing that bothers is that she only takes Sami knowing that Chris wants to go. Her boy may be younger but he is in just as much need as Chris of a friend his own age. Chris is heartbroken every time Sami gets to go and he doesn't.

Maybe I'm just being petty but in reality it's teaching my kids to be defiant, rebel, bullying, walking around bare assed & breaking the rules is perfectly ok! Not in my world. I may be too serious and have a stick up my ass but at least I know my children will not be hurt due to lack of parental care and supervision.

In the end I know I'm doing what's best for my kids. If they never see them again I could honestly care less. My problem with it all is that I want my children to know and respect ALL family! Not just the nice ones or the rich ones or the non-trailer trash ones. One of the things I hate about the way I grew up was how I was treated because we grew up in a trailer on the out skirts of town and almost never went to family functions. I was seldom talked to by any of the family and many still view me as trailer trash. I have and I am still working my butt off to overcome being trailer trash. My children have more then the bare minimal needs, that even I didn't always get, and I'm trying to make sure that they have the values I was never taught.

Regardless of who your family is, they are important. I vented my frustrations but you know I'm the bigger person because I didn't completely cut off contact and refuse to attend family functions and such because of the conflicit between her and I. I've held my tongue and I still let my daughter spend the night and spend time with her cousin's against my better judgement. I've tried to talk to "Auntie" about it and all she does if laugh at me and throw it all back in my face. Will I finally say never again will my girl go over there again? Probably not. I might not let her go over anytime soon but I will never deny my children the chance to know their family and the chance to make up their own minds about them. This "Aunt" isn't the only person in the family I have problems with but I am doing a good job with not letting my feelings and opinions influence them. That's the hardest job I as a parent can do is not let my own feelings and opinions dominate either of my children's decisions.

I am NOT intentionally trying to cause trouble, irritate, annoy, or any other negative thing due to voicing my opinion. I just want it to be clear as to why I have made the decisions I have. Some will continue to question but in the end, walk in my shoes before you decide I'm in the wrong. I hate that the conflict between "Auntie Dearest" and I is causing problems in other area's of the family. It was never my intention to cause the conflict but I can only look the other way for so long. I know in my heart that I'm doing what's right and that's what matters most. I just hate how its still eating at me. I hope now that I've vented that I might finally be able to drop it. I am happy to report that even though my day started poorly but was vastly improved with happy children roaming my house and having some great food! Now it's off to bed. Good Night!

A New Year

A new year has come, another has gone. I'm not making a new years resolution. If I did, I'd be asking to fail. I'm not great with keeping my goals and following through with what I want to do. I am determined that I change something this year. I don't know what it will be but I do know I won't be repeating this last year again!

My intentions for the year are to try at the very least to be healthier. I know I'm not losing this excess bagage that has plagued me for many many many years. I want to be better organized. I'm fairly organized until it comes to tossing the stuff I just don't know what to do with in my bedroom to deal with later. Now I have a black hole for a bedroom. Thankfully I can still find my bed.

I have organized every room except my bedroom already. I even got rid of the stuff I didn't know what to do with instead of adding it to the black hole. I even managed to put some of the stuff in my black hole in the correct storage boxes! Now to work get down and dirty and get the black hole turned back into a bedroom. Not going to be easy as I have to much craft stuff but I am determined.

I am going to be more positive. I have everything crossed I can possible cross that I can get a job and actually start taking care of my family. As soon as the black hole is done I can actually work on getting some of my craft projects finished so I can list them for sell. Maybe if I can stay focused long enough I might be able to start an online business selling my crafts. I get carried away playing and forget to take pictures of the kids. I am going to try harder to get us outdoors more this year. I love it outside. Why I don't spend more time out I don't know but it has got to change.

Basically my ultimate goal this year is to put my determination to good use and accomplish forming some good habits. My children will only be young once. If I dont' instill in them good habits now it will be to late! With that note, I'm off to work on my home some more while the kids are away. Gotta get it set up and going in the right direction as fast as possible. Too many things need doing to be sitting around groaning!

A lil about Sami & Chris

Now that you know I'm a weird-O with a capital O! Let's fill you in on my children. Especially since they are my pride and joy, but also, because I was never suppose to be able to have kids. I fell off my rocker become a fruit loop got into some trouble with drinking and feeling sorry for myself just to discover the doctors were wrong!

I found out I was pregnant by accident. After believing for nearly 10 years that I wasn't suppose to be able to have children, I got sick and didn't know what was wrong. Pregnancy was the farthest thing from my mind. I figured it was side effects from being stupid in my after work life. I was going to say night life but really I was working nights so it was early mornings to late mornings I was busy screwing up my life. Anyways, someone at work teased me about being pregnant. I had laughed and told her I wasn't because the doctors said it wasn't possible. As the week wore on, the seed she planted sprouted. The more I thought about it the more it all made sense. I was being sent home a lot because they thought I was going to pass out. Combined with my lack of appetite and that some foods smelled awful to me plus the moodiness, it all began to sink in. I finally broke down and took a home test. Positve. Thought: LIAR! Second test: POSITIVE! Thought: OH CRAP!

Off to the doctor to confirm it. Sure enough I was cooking! The stupid thing is I could of found out I was pregnant the month before when I went to the E.R. because I had a black out spell in my car. I wasn't driving thankfully but it scared the crap out of me. I call it a black out because I had turned off my car and then my world came back swimming and I was still in my car but almost no time had passed. The doctor said he thought I had fainted. Which couldn't have been from lack of food and water in my system. No, never that! They asked if it was possible if I could be pregnant. I told them I don't know. Usually they automatically do a test on me everytime I go to the ER but not this time! And back to confirmation, I was excited but I was devastated because I had been naughty. I was 3 months pregnant and had been drinking and done some drugs. I cold turkey stopped everything! I started forcing myself to eat and drink. It wasn't easy.

I was just starting to show and it was Thanksgiving in a couple of days. I got off work, finished my turkey shopping and went home. Felt wonderful and happy. Went to bed just to wake up around 2 am from braxton hicks. Or so I thought! A little over 3 hours later, Samantha Raine was born to the "healthy" size of 2 lbs 7 oz 14 in long! Paperwork wise I was 26 weeks. Sami's development was 28 weeks. I had 3 months to prepare and I didn't have jack squat! I didn't get to hold Sami. She was born, taken straight to the cleaning station and rushed to the N.I.C.U. without me even getting to see her. She was 12 weeks early, trying to breath on her own & her eye's were open. We spent the next 3 months in the N.I.C.U.

Samantha was 2 weeks old before I got to hold her. I didn't get to hold her like you do a normal baby. When I say I got to hold her I mean I got to hold her up so the nurse could make her bed throught the incubator hand holes. It's hard having a sweet little innocent child you can't rub their hand because it bruises to easy. You can't hold them to comfort you or the child. When Sami was around 3 weeks old, December 12th to be exact, she had a P.D.A. Ligation. (not sure on the spelling) Basically she had heart surgery. She was the first premie to have this procedure done in the St. George NICU. The tube that goes between the heart and lungs that closes within 3 days of birth was almost closed and re-opened.

They had to take this tiny staple looking thing called a Titanium clip and clamp the vein closed so she would quit getting fluid on her lungs. She will forever have this thing in her heart. When she got pnemonia last winter, she got an x-ray done of her lungs and you can barely tell it's there. It looked like a slightly bright spot on her rib bones. The clip won't set off a metal detector either. Sami now has a scar under her arm but you'd never know she was a premie or had heart surgery. The doctor's told me that it was just because she was so tiny when she was born but really I feel it was part of the effects from my stupidity. Just because your told something isn't suppose to happen doesn't mean it won't and you should never let yourself down to the dumps of hell because of self pity! I know from experience!

Sami was released on her due date. The nurses kept saying she wasn't ready to go home and we had to fight them. Really it came down to they were attached to her and THEY didn't want to let her go home. We had to learn to put a feeding tube in to take her. We did. the first 24 hours of feeding was hell! We'd do the feeding tube with what the hospital said she was required to have and she'd puke. We decided to hell with it! We took the tube out and guess what?! She gained more weight then required by her 1 week doctor appointment. She was eating what she wanted not being forced! She also had acid reflex. I feel the reflex was started from being over feed then was the result of being allergic to my milk and having to go on formula. Doctor's said it was from an overly sensative stomach. I'm no doctor but I sure don't like to listen to them. 9 out of 10 times they're the idiots not me! Back to Sami!

She was put in a program called TLC (The Learning Center for Families). It's a program of people who visit you in your home, usually once a week, to help you work with your baby to teach your child developmental skills so they will be as normal and healthy as any other child their age. Just like any other organization, you get retards who look down their noses and act like you don't have a clue when really the shoe is theirs. My first case worker was a jerk. She kept putting in the reports that I was detatched and wouldn't hold or work with the baby. She talked down to me and was snotty. She also pushed her LDS standings and beliefs on me constantly. Don't mistake me, I don't mind most LDS until they push their crap on me. It's one thing to believe it's another to cram it down someone's throat. Anyways, I hated it her. She finally quit. I felt like she had to many complaints about her and was let go but that's my opinion. My next case worker was awesome! She was in the learning process and was willing to work with me and talk to me without being prejudice. (Not sure it that's the right word but you should be able to catch my drift!)

Sami showed ton's of improvement! It helped a lot to have someone who wasn't afraid to sit on the floor with my child and I and show me and instruct me on what I needed and shouldn't do. Our appointment always went over and we were great friends. The first worker was never there more then a half hour out of an hour. When you take the time, success will follow. Sami graduated early from the program because she exceeded expectations & over qualified us! She was a late walker and talker but she sure doesn't show it now. She has my clumsy genes too. She loves to blast music and if she could get away with it she'd watch TV all day. She can't walk anywhere, she has to run! She definitely likes what she likes and it's like pulling teeth to get her to try new things. She doesn't like being center of attention or being part of medium to large groups. She still tells me that someday she is going to own her own bus! That's a little story I'll have to fill you in on later.

Sami isn't as hugable and kissable as you may think though. She's ok with them most the time but she is very hands off. I'm the same way so part of it is genes but when she was in the womb she was ALWAYS sprawled! She wouldn't tuck her arms and legs. She had to be stretched out. After she was born the nurses would have to fight with her to get her to keep her body swaddled in the fetal position. She always managed to get one leg out and one arm out. She still sprawls once she's asleep. She doesn't like to have her blanket tucked in either. She likes to be covered but that's it. She was that way when she was little too. We couldn't swaddle her to help keep her warm because it would piss her off. She is stingy with her hugs and kisses. It usually has to be her idea. Most of the time we can get her to hug the Auntie's and Uncles but sometimes her stubbornness shows through. Her brother on the other hand is the opposite! He likes to cuddle, hug and kiss (usually while he's sneaking at something else!)

Sami was excited we were having a baby but when it came time to take him home she was NOT happy! Christopher Draven was born 3 weeks early at the healthy hefty size of 7 lbs 15 oz 19 in long. I delivered 3 weeks before my finals were due and passed all but 1 class! I was due the week of finals too. Plus it was my first semester of college. Never thought I'd actually go to college but miracles never cease! Sami was happy to visit with Chris and I in the hospital but when it came time to leave it was another story!

I was left to push the nursery bed with baby strapped in the carseat in it and an annoyed little girl to leave the room. Daddy dearest took everything else out to the car to bring it around. Well, the cart is a pain in the rump and you had to use both hands to push it or it wouldn't go where you wanted it to if you even got it to go! I couldn't just leave my baby in the cart and chase Sami down the hall so I had to follow her as she went the wrong way at the door on purpose. Followed her to the end of the hall where she looked in every room she walked by until she didn't have anywhere to go and walked right past Chris and I in the right direction. We followed her until we got to the double doors to leave. They are locked doors so you have to be buzzed in and out. We had to go past the doors to get Chris' picture taken before leaving. Someone had opened the doors and Sami ran through them! I held the doors opened until the alarm sounded trying to stay with my baby, as I wasn't allowed to take him out of the baby area yet, and get Sami to come back.

It was a mess! I could of kicked Roger for leaving her with me while he played he-man and lugged everything out. By the time we left the hospital I thought for sure someone was going to call the cops for child abuse on us! We finally got into the picture room and Chris spit his binky on the floor so we threw it away. Sami freaked out we were throwing the baby's binky away and ran to get it out of the trash can that was under a lip counter and she pegged herself right across the eyes and bridge of her nose! She had a black eye anyways because she was throwing a tantrum and grabbed the side of the chair we used at the computer with no one in it and yanked on it pulling it over on her and hitting herself in the eye. Roger had finally come back in to see what was taking so long and Sami took off running into the storage closet while I was helping the nurse get Chris picture and Sami slipped on the tile and smashed the back of her head on the floor! I was ready to cry and scream by the time we left. Sami being obstinate and getting hurt. I still don't know why the nurse didn't walk us to the picture room and out. Isn't a nurse suppose to walk you out? The whole thing would of been easier if someone would of been there to help. I was never given a wheel chair to be wheeled out in either. It was all a joke! At least we all made it through and are happy and healthy!

A lil about Me

I got thinking this afternoon that I probably should put a little about me in here to, as you know, I am part of this family, or at least I think I am! (he he he me and my dumb jokes!) Well anyways I figured I will give a little background. Most of you will know bits and pieces already but it helps to have a guideline to help keep it all straight. I know I sure can't remember most things about people anymore. I had kids and lost half my brain. (he he he well maybe not half but it feels like it some days!)

I am the oldest of 7 (SEVEN) children. Not 50 not 2 but 7. I was born in Kanab, UT to Christine Anderson and Richard Jessop. I don't have a birth certificate to look up how big I was and depending when and who I talk to I am always a different size. So until I get that drated thing I am weightless. I do know I was over 7lbs but not more then 8lbs and somewhere around 22in long. I grew up in Fredonia, AZ. Not freda-what as Neena put it. Yes a small one horse town you blink you miss sort of thing. My first home in freda-what? was behind the oil refinery and my 2nd was on the other side of town. Both outside city limits (or hick town limits hehehe obviously on a corny joke day).

I went to Fredonia Elementary when it was where the fire station is now. You know behind the church! (Not like most of you have ever been there but ya know gotta give some direction!) Anyways, I went their until 2nd grade. By 3rd grade we were moved to the current elementary school. The same one that the custodian was held up by that Scott Curley kid a little while ago. I just made it to 7th grade when I moved to Colorado City, AZ. Yes to most Plig-ville. Hmm...almost sounds like a game on Facebook! lol Ok I have to stop the corny-ness before I kill myself with stupidity!

When I moved into the house in C.C. there were only 2 Mother's and a crap load of kids. When I say a crap load I mean like 30. NO JOKE! The other 3 mother's live in another house with a crap load of kids to. I just might try to name them all one of these days. Hmm...maybe at the end of this post. Anyways, I don't remember how long I lived their before the rest of the Mother's and the kids moved in. I think by the time they moved in a few of the kids got married and moved out. I think all were 1st wives too. Back to me...This is were I start following the naughty trail.

I was basically a good kid. Mom and Dad were always off working somewhere, well, at least Dad was working. Mom was either working or playing. I took care of my brother's and sister. Once we moved I no longer was in charge of my brother's and sister but it was my responsiblity to take care of them. Yes, massive confusion for me. Eventually I just started doing my own thing. I started sneaking out of the house just to be alone. (30+ kids + 6 parents = crap load of people = no alone time!) I would get overwhelmed and I never truely had anyone to talk to that I truely could trust in that house. So I longed for the old days and repressed myself and all the other junk that goes with depression. I eventually packed my bags walked out the front door climbed into my Kermit the Frog green Pinto named Kermy Jr (Dad named it! It stuck!) and I moved back with my Dad.

F.Y.I. I just skipped a whole 5 dozen stories just right here alone. I was in C.C. for just over 5 years when I "ran away from home". In the 5 years my Dad had met Patsy and amazingly is still with her today. Dad moved in with her and had moved the boys back in with him. They had Julie (my sister) for a couple of weeks and she drove them all crazy so she was given the chance to move back to C.C. and is now married and still part of the religion there. I had tried to stay in C.C. to finish school. Didn't work to well. I was sluffing school and all sorts of bad things. So I moved into Patsy's house. (Notice I didn't say Dad's!)

I graduated High School. Probably because school was about the only way to escape my evil stepmother! (Nope still don't like her but I can't change that she's part of the family so I deal with it.) Plus I liked school. I may have still been naughty but I wasn't sluffing! I started 2 jobs at 16. Another way to get away from home. So in between school, waiting tables after school, cleaning rooms on the weekends and if I wasn't working going to church I stayed away as much as possible. When I finally couldn't handle the wicked witch of the west (came down to leaving or punching her) I left. Thought I was saving some major problems between my Dad and I because I didn't hit his woman, Nope! My Dad and I are slowly working things out but it's been an extremely long and painful process. Who knows if we will ever be close again. I was Daddy's girl growing up.

I left the nest in the middle of the night and moved to St. George. 13 years of heat and drama. Went through a wide range of personalities and problems not to forget the drama. I had 2 lovely kids who have settled my life and given me a direction that I can follow whole heartedly! My life has been full. Can't say that I want to repeat it all but if the end results always come back to my wonderful children I would gladly follow it wicked witch and all!

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog page. I am new to this. I have seen several peoples pages and decide why not try it. It will be a fun way to share my ideas, thoughts, and whats happening in my family! Kinda excited to get started. Who knows how often I might actually get around to updating but I know I will eventually get around to it.

Guess I will start with a little info about my family. I have 2 beautiful children. Both of them chose to enter this world earlier then they were suppose to. But do children listen? Nope! My girl started us off wih a rocky start.

Samantha Raine was born 3 months early, 2 lbs 7 oz, 14 in long. Tape 2 dollar bills end to end and you have exactly how big she was. She has clod-hopper feet just like her Grandpa Richard...or so says Great Grandpa Anderson. She had a PDA Ligation at 3 weeks. Basically a vessel from her heart to her lungs didn't close immediately after birth like it was suppose to. She was getting fluid on her lung. She had to have a miniature clip made of Titanium that looks like a very small staple clamped on this vessel. She now sports a scar under her arm where they had to go in. She was also the first newborn premie to have this surgery preformed in the St. George, UT N.I.C.U. She is 4 going on 40 and a very bright magpie. She may start off shy but then you'll want to run away covering your ears praying she'll stop! She is one of my 2 true loves!

Chrstoper Draven was born 3 weeks early, 7 lbs 15 oz, 19 in long. He was huge! He has the brightest blue eyes and we can't go anywhere without women wanting to take him home. Already the womanizer! Now if I could just teach him some manners and to be a gentleman with some smarts. He is an extremely lovable little boy who tends to maul you to death but what you don't see is his scheming little mind at work. He distracts with his loves while he is tearing/destroying something elsewhere. You just never know what he's going to do next.

Both children are miracles for me. While I may have been naughty, I certainly never expected to have either one of them as I was told for years I would never have children. I got my greatest blessing of all in cute little bundles of joy! I couldn't of asked for a better gift!

Welcome to our Family!
